    • How Does It Work?

Morpheus8 ‘injects’ radiofrequency energy into the skin with lots of tiny needles, which also act as a micro-needling treatment themselves. Both are collagen stimulating in different ways. Microneedling creates a micro-trauma in the skin stimulating the healing response while radiofrequency uses heat to tighten the skin. Morpheus8 can be used on the face, neck and body for skin tightening and contouring to give a firmer, smoother more lifted appearance.

    • What To Expect?

With the help of a portable hand piece, a small grid is marked on the skin and the treatment is then carried out without damaging surrounding tissue, delivering energy to deeper layers of the skin. The procedure is carried out in an outpatient setting, under topical anaesthetic and can be used for numerous aesthetic concerns: treating loose facial skin, scarring, and to perform a non-surgical blepharoplasty and brow lift.

    • Is It Painful?

The treatment requires a topical anaesthetic to ensure that your treatment is as comfortable as possible. Local anaesthetic cream is applied on cleansed skin for 20-30 mins. Most patients feel some heat and a little discomfort. At the end of the session, there will be some redness and swelling in the treated area which may be sore for a couple of days after.

    • Who Is Suitable For Treatment?

Morpheus8 is a noninvasive procedure that’s safe for all skin tones, with little to no risk of hyperpigmentation. You are not suitable for treatment if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker or metal implant.

    • How Many Treatments Will I Need?

For optimal results, you’ll need a series of up to three sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart.

    • How Much Downtime Can I Expect?

Morpheus8 recovery is relatively easy, with no real downtime. Usually you can expect one to three days of redness, itchiness, and swelling. That means you can schedule the procedure on a Friday and look normal by Monday, depending on the intensity of the treatment.

    • Is Morpheus8 Safe?

Morpheus8 is considered to be a very safe treatment, though you may experience some common temporary side effects. Any bleeding, scabbing, swelling, or redness should subside within a few days. Possible pin prick marks from the needles should fade on their own within two weeks.
