“My double chin made me look closer to 50 than 40, but now I’m back in my prime.”
Real Housewives of Cheshire Star Lauren Simon Had Non-Invasive Facelift Treatment – To Get Rid of Her “Double Chin, Eye Bags and Old Neck”.
Reality TV star Lauren Simon wanted to rejuvenate her appearance and was looking to redefine her jawline, get rid of a double chin, and generally improve her skin texture.
The 45-year-old star of ITV programme The Real Housewives of Cheshire visited Dr Judy Todd at the Re-Enhance Clinic in Hale, which is run by Dr Martin Kinsella, and had a combined therapy of FaceTite radio-frequency (RF) assisted liposuction contouring and Morpheus8 RF micro-needling skin resurfacing.
Lauren Simon said: “In the last couple of years I could see a big double chin on every picture taken of me and it was really starting to bother me. You could really see it, especially from the sides.
I also had jowls, my skin was looking dull, and I felt I was really ageing on my neck. It’s sagging slightly which is causing the double chin.
I just feel my neck needed lifting because I’m looking closer to 50 than 40 and also underneath my eyes, they looked a bit tired and needed to be refreshed.
“I just felt like I needed a little tweak, but I didn’t want a full facelift. I’ve had FaceTite which burns away the fat in your neck and gives you a tighter jawline, and I also had Ellevate underneath that is a thread under your jaw which basically lifts and tightens everything, which also emphasises your jawline. After that, I had Morpheus8 which rejuvenates the skin surface and gives you a more youthful look, a nice dewy fresh face look, so I no longer look tired.
“I’m really happy with the result I think it’s taken years off me, and it’s rejuvenated my skin and I wake up in the morning and I haven’t got big bags under my eyes.”
Lauren chose to go to Dr Judy Todd, who had achieved amazing results on Judy Murray earlier this year. Dr Todd is one of the leading aesthetic doctors in the UK and is based at Clinica Medica in Glasgow but also practices from clinics in London and Cheshire. She is a specialist aesthetic doctor with years of experience as well as a consultant anaesthetist with many years of NHS hospital experience. Dr Todd opted for a combined treatment of FaceTite and NeckTite followed by Morpheu8 micro-needling and Ellevate Neck Defining Suture. This combined therapy has been called Embrace RF in the USA.
All three treatments were conducted at the clinic on the same day and the total treatment time was just a little over two hours. Lauren was conscious the whole time and only needed local anesthesia.
A thin probe was inserted just below her ear and under the jawline to “burn-away” fatty tissue and to promote skin remodeling using radio frequency energy.
There are no scars, no pain, and downtime is just a few days, which is much less than a surgical facelift, which can be up to three weeks.
The Morpheus8 treatment followed on immediately afterwards and was conducted at two depths, at 0.4 mm for fat contraction, 0.2 mm for skin rejuvenation and contraction of pores.
One of the great advantages of the Morpheus8 treatment is that it provides skin tightening right into the delicate eye area, and Lauren had the treatment on the lower lids and to reduce crow’s feet at the side of her eyes.
Lauren said: “I had the treatments on Friday afternoon, and I was able to go out with friends for Sunday lunch at a pub, I had to wear a compression stocking for a couple of days and that was it. The effects could be seen after a couple of weeks and by a month later you could really see the difference.”
