This results in the disintegration of the membranes of the lipocytes and the elimination of their contents.
How SmartLipo - Laserlipolisi® Works
The technique is performed by means of an innovative laser specifically developed for this purpose.
The procedure uses an Nd:YAG Laser with extremely short pulses and very high peak of power, in order to avoid tissues heating. This works safely, effectively and with almost no down time.

How long does the lipolysis treatment take?
Around one hour, depending on the treatment area.
Is it safe?
Yes, because Laserlipolisi® only targets the action specifically to the adipocytes, and by coagulating the blood vessels reduces blood loss, without damaging nerves or other tissue structures.
Laserlipolisi® has been demonstrated to be less traumatic than conventional liposuction methods. The primary reasons for this are the small diameter (1mm) cannula and the effects of the laser-tissue interaction.
How many lipolysis treatments will I need?
For localised deposits of fat just one session, while for larger areas of fat volume the procedure may be repeated.
When will I see the results?
Initial results will be visible fairly quickly, the final result being apparent after three to four months, this allows time for the elimination of the lysate and collagen stimulation to cause skin tightening.

How long is the recovery time?
The patient can return to normal activities almost immediately after the procedure although it is advisable to avoid strenuous sports and sauna for two weeks and intensive massage for four to five weeks.
